Vermilion County Fun Run

It’s been a great summer of running for the Vermilion County Fun Run races this season. We have been extremely pleased with the support of the community in making our initial year of races a success. We look forward to holding fun runs for the area again next year along with other opportunities for everyone to get out and run for the fun of it!

We would like to thank our sponsors. Without the help of them, we would not be able to hold these races and provide this great activity for the area. We hope you will support our sponsors, and when you do thank them for helping us get things going this year.

Children will race in groups based on age and gender ranging from 0-18 years of age and varying distances from the 25 yard Turtle Trot to the 2 mile for the older kids. The Turtle Trot up to the 1/2 Mile will be run on and around the soccer fields,while the 1 and 2 mile races will be run on the x-country course.
Scheduled Races and Age Groups

0-2	Turtle Trot Aprox. 25 yrds
3-4	Tot Trot Aprox. 50 yrds
3-6	1/4 Mile run
5-8	1/2 Mile run
8-18	1 Mile run
10-18	2 Mile run

We will have races beginning on Monday June 6,2011 at 6:00pm at the Danville Soccer Complex(Ambucs Parking Lot). Races will be every Monday at 6:00pm (excluding July 4th) ending July 25, 2011. Registration is FREE and will include popsicles at the completion of each race. Children who complete at least 5 races will be given a t-shirt.
